This is Palmyr in Syria, old greek city. Very interessting in the desert : 210 km north east from Damas.
In my opinion this theater is one of the most beautiful in old Greek world.
If you go to Syria take the time to visit Omeyad Mosque
Allepo Citadel.
That church looks really lovely.
